I just read this article, 10 Things You Can Like About $4 Gas. It's good to see all the positives that are coming out of this when usually the talk is just doom and gloom.
Personally, I have never owned a car, as during my adult life, I have always lived in cities with great public transportation. My husband, Michael, owns one for weekend errands; however, he will be selling it shortly. We are going to try using ZipCar, instead.
Really, most all of the places we need to go we can reach by light rail, train, or bus. It's just nice to be able to take a car to Trader Joe's and stock up. So with ZipCar, we'll have access to a car for a few hours a month and not have to pay extra for gas or insurance.
